PRODUCT
Hardwearing unlined waxed leather gloves for working, backcountry, hunting or any wilderness exploration. These versatile gloves are made from vegetable tanned cowhide leather sourced from the Rupal Valley. Handcrafted with fire-resistant waxed cotton thread that won’t melt in the heat of a campfire.
They provide medium-weight protection from abrasion and sharp edges. Reinforcements in the thumbs and cuffs for extra durability. The keystone thumb construction provides full movement flexibility and a good grip on an axe and other tools. And thanks to the hand-stitched leather attachment, the gloves can be easily collected by a backpack or belt.
↗ Delivered with hand-stitched puller attachment for our leather belts FGL401 & FGL402.

CONSIDERATION
The manufacture of quality gloves involves handwork from start to finish, where machines play a side role. The leather is processed using the centuries-old table-cutting method. The goal of the cutter is to use the skins as precisely as possible so that valuable material is not wasted and, at the same time, to take into account the natural elasticity of each individual skin so that the gloves fit the hand as well as possible. The table-cutting method requires care and also manual strength, and it is very slow—the cutting speed is only an average of three pairs per hour.
