Before first use, remove the leather case and rinse the inside of the flask with water and vinegar or a small amount of dish soap. 'Season' with cheap liquor by pouring, shaking around and discarding. Replace leather holster and the flask is ready for use. Never leave alcohol sitting in a metal flask for longer than a week.
