Material guide: Organic cotton

In the valleys of Kyrgyzstan, a story is unfolding. A story of tradition, community, and a deep connection to the land.

It's a story that we've been honored to be a part of, and it's a story that's woven into every piece of clothing that we create.

Conventional cotton production is a perfect example of how modern agriculture can be harmful, using synthetic pesticides and herbicides, which can have a significant impact on the environment and the health of the farmers. But in Kyrgyzstan, there is a bio-farm that uses organic practices and eliminates the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and GMO seeds.

This organic cotton is grown with care, ensuring the safety and health of the farmers and their families without polluting the waters or soil. We go beyond the surface to ensure that the cotton we use is grown in the most sustainable way possible by working with local farmers and preserving biodiversity and healthy ecosystems. Organic cotton is also beneficial for our community; it's cleaner and safer to wear, especially for people with sensitive skin. Organic cotton is light and comfortable, it's not just the best choice for our environment and the farmers, but it's also the best choice for you.

We are proud to wear OC201, our first t-shirt crafted from organic cotton grown in Kyrgyzstan. This piece has a unique story, one that traces the entire journey of the organic cotton supply chain, from seed cultivation in Kyrgyzstan to the final stitching in the Czech Republic. We take pride in being a part of this story and hope that it will inspire others to make conscious choices in the products they buy.
