In the vast grasslands of Kyrgyzstan, a timeless tradition is being kept alive. Here, nomadic herdsmen tend to their cattle, allowing them to roam free and live out their lives according to the natural rhythms of the land.
And it is from these very same grasslands that we source the raw leather for our products, a byproduct of this ancient way of life. Not only do we ensure the ethical treatment of animals, but we also create a product that is truly one-of-a-kind.

The leather we produce is shaped by the environment in which the animals were raised - the high altitude and extreme continental climate of Kyrgyzstan - giving it durability, resilience, and a signature grain that will last for years.
It's no secret that the modern leather industry is far from ethical. Most leather comes from crowded, high-output farms and slaughterhouses, where animals are treated as nothing more than a commodity. But we knew there had to be a better way. We wanted to create leather that was not only ethically sourced but also a sustainable choice.

This is where vegetable tanning comes in. Unlike the chrome tanning process that is used by most manufacturers, vegetable tanning utilizes natural materials such as tree bark and other plant materials to tan the leather. Not only is this process better for the environment, but it also gives the leather a unique texture and pattern. For us, using vegetable tanning is the only way. We tan our leather in the heart of Tuscany with one of the oldest tanneries using only wooden drums.
This way of creating the leather, letting the animal live in nature and giving them the freedom to roam, and harvesting the animal when it is no longer living, we are making sure that not just the life of the animal is respected, but also their death is dignified. And while we do not believe in killing animals for sport, we do believe in utilizing every part of the animal in a respectful manner, in this case, turning the hides into high-quality leather. At the end of the day, our goal is to create leather with respect to animals, nature, and humans. And we believe that through our commitment to Kyrgyz leather and vegetable tanning, we are doing just that.
